Robert I. Knapp of Okeechobee, FL, sent this photo to the Korean War Educator. The picture was taken in the Blue Mirror Lounge in Washington, DC in the summer of 1951 with Ella Fitzgerald. Bob tells us that Donald Berg from Wausau, Wisconsin is on the left. Knapp says that he is on the right--"the handsome one with the Corporal stripes." Berg and Knapp left for the Caribbean shortly after the picture was taken. Knapp later saw combat in Korea with D/2/7 Marines.
