This is Skyline Drive going over this pretty steep hill. Only jeeps used this
road because they were about the only vehicles that could make it. This
was a short cut to our battalion rear headquarters. Elsewhere in this
presentation is a view of the road that was the long way, but safe. Skyline
Drive was in full view of the Chinese about the last third of the trip so there
was always a chance of an artillery sniper trying his luck. This picture was
taken from the front of our battalion forward headquarters bunker. The
recognizable battle area is T-Bone Hill and the Alligator Jaws. We had a lot
of patrol fighting out by T-Bone in February, 1953.
